New Journeys In Recovery’s recognizes the uniqueness and individuality of each person, the importance of family and a strong social network of support. We encourage program participants to exercise their right to actively participate in decisions affecting their lives. Our programs are designed to be holistically engaging to support their successful treatment program completion, recovery, attentiveness to their physical wellness, and reentry into the community as productive members.
NJIR admission process is a comprehensive assessment the person in recovery’s (PIR) strengths, challenges and recovery goals. When a person is referred to NJIR, s/he is scheduled for an intake within the referral week prior to admission, and sooner if the need be. At Intake, PIR’s meet with a NJIR’s intake assessor.
NJIR is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Division of Drug and Alcohol Program Licensure
NJIR is contracted with Community Behavioral Health (CBH) to evaluate the level of severity of alcohol and other drug problems, to seek funding for treatment, to provide outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment and to facilitate referral to inpatient treatment and other levels of care.
MoreNJIR employs counselor/therapists, clinical supervisors/coordinators, peer specialists, billing and clerical staff.
